How to Use the Slide Generator: The Manual
Operating Procedures for Preacher Ed’s Slide Generator
1. Browser Mode
Direct PreachingThis is the fastest way to preach. No PowerPoint required. Just you and the code.
- Step 1: Open the URL of the slides provided to access the slide generator.
- Step 2: Go Full Screen. Press F11 (Windows) or Cmd+Ctrl+F (Mac) to hide the address bar.
- Navigation:
→ or Space : Next Slide
← or Back : Previous Slide
2. The Extraction
File GenerationNeed to move these slides into “real” software? You need the PNGs. The generator handles this internally.
- Step 1: Open the URL of the slides provided to access the slide generator.
- Save One Slide: Navigate to the slide you want and press S. It downloads instantly.
- Export ALL Slides: Press E once.
Wait for it. The screen will flash through every slide automatically as it snaps a high-res photo of each one. Check your “Downloads” folder forSlide-1.png,Slide-2.png, etc.
3. PowerPoint / Keynote
Microsoft AppleThe “Old School” method. Use this if the church computer is offline or rigid.
- Step 1: Open the URL of the slides provided to access the slide generator.
- Step 2: Use the E key to get your images.
- Step 3: Open PowerPoint/Keynote to a blank presentation.
- Step 4: Select all your PNGs in your file folder.
- Step 5: Drag and drop them onto the slide sorter (sidebar). They will auto-populate as full-screen slides.
4. Proclaim
Church SoftwareFor when we get fancy with the screens.
- Step 1: Open the URL of the slides provided to access the slide generator.
- Step 2: Export images using E.
- Step 3: In Proclaim, go to Add Item → Images as Slideshow.
- Step 4: Drag all your PNGs into the “Import” box.
- Step 5: Select “Add as individual slides” (not a scrolling slideshow). Done.
